Linen Fabric

Linen is a natural, durable fabric that becomes softer and more beautiful with time. Known for its breathability, linen requires proper care to maintain its quality. Here's how to ensure your linen products last for years to come:

  • Use a gentle cycle on your washing machine. Hand washing in a large sink or bathtub is also a great option.
  • Wash in lukewarm or cold water with a mild detergent. Hot water can cause shrinkage.
  • Avoid fabric softeners, linen naturally softens over time.
  • Do not use bleach or detergents with whitening agents, as these can damage and blotch the fibres, even on white linen.
  • Tumble dry on low heat. High heat can cause shrinkage and
    weaken the fibres.
  • Linen will naturally wrinkle, which is part of its charm, but if desired, remove items from the dryer while still damp to reduce
wrinkles. A hand steamer also works well for more delicate items.
  • For air-drying, lay flat over a drying rack. Avoid using
clothespins, which can leave stretch marks.
  • Spot clean immediately. Avoid overwashing your linen to
    extend its life.
  • Regular care ensures linen maintains its shape, softness,
and overall appeal, making it a wonderful investment for your home.
